Description
Located at the intersection of Dongjiang River and Xizhi River in Huicheng District, Gu Hejiang Building is one of the six famous buildings in Guangdong. It is as famous as Guangzhou Zhenhai Building and Zhaoqing Yuejiang Building. It is also the first residence of Su Dongpo. It is a pity that the ancient Hejiang Tower, which was repeatedly destroyed during the war years, was completely annihilated in a vigorous demolition movement after liberation, and traces are hard to find. Since the original site was occupied, the current Hejiang Building has been rebuilt on a different site since 2006. The newly built Hejiang Building is located on the east bank of Dongxin Bridge. The building is handsome and straight, and its shape is the official style of the Qing Dynasty, with double eaves and spires. Hejiang Building has gray tiles and white walls, red columns and green terraces, and colorful painted bucket arches and beams. The main building has 8 floors and a base with a total of 9 floors, supplemented by an antique wharf and square. [The above is the introduction of Baidu Encyclopedia]
