Situated on the road from Lijiang to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Dongba Valley is a steep canyon with towering cliffs, many old trees and vines, and unusually shaped rocks. The valley is also an excellent place to experience the culture and customs of the Dongba people. The scenic area is centered around a street lined with artisans busy making many ethnic minority handicrafts. Visitors can also appreciate the many sculptures and buildings that reflect Dongba culture.
