During the second entrepreneurial period of Lijiang's tourism development, in order to adapt to the diversification of tourism products, fill the gap in low-altitude flight experience in Lijiang city and Souvenir scenic spots, and meet the needs of tourism consumers at different levels, Lijiang Flight Base, with the support of relevant local departments, built an airport and supporting facilities with conditions for take-off and landing of light sport aircraft. The main operating aircraft types are light sport aircraft and powered delta wings. It carries out low-altitude flight experience, low-altitude flight performances, primary flight license training, aviation-themed parent-child tours and summer camps and other commercial projects for tourists and aviation sports enthusiasts. With unique product forms, high-quality services and humane management, it has become a new format for the transformation and upgrading of Lijiang tourism and has been integrated into the tide of Lijiang tourism development. Up to now, the company has built a 700-meter and a 400-meter grass runway, a 200-square-meter hangar, a base flight command and control system, a visitor service center and other infrastructure at the base. It has a total of 4 aircraft in normal operation (2 powered delta-wing aircraft and 2 light sports aircraft) with a flight capacity of 150 sorties per day, 4 pilots with flying licenses and a team of 10 highly qualified employees; it is fully capable of operating various plateau low-altitude flight experiences and tourism projects.
