GBCA is located in Quanzhou, a famous historical and cultural city. It is the starting point of China’s Maritime Silk Road. With this in mind, each letter in GBCA is given a direction: G – Great, B – Beauty, C – Culture, A – Art.

As a pioneer of the complex space for contemporary art in Quanzhou, Damei explores the possibility of innovation in art forms and expands the boundaries of art’s involvement in society through open media and interdisciplinary art practice. The space will continue to launch exhibitions with broad social significance and academic value, hoping to create a place for full dialogue between the West and the East, the past and the present, and art and life. It is precisely because of the intersection of points that the source of inspiration for Damei Contemporary is formed.
