Description
Bense Art Museum is a non-profit art and cultural institution privately invested and built by Mr. Chen Hanxing and managed by a professional team. It is mainly committed to promoting the experimental exploration of Chinese contemporary art and trying to make cross-border positive attempts in various art forms, involving painting, sculpture, installation, performance art, photography, video, architecture, design, music and other aspects. The art museum is located on the bank of the canal and built by the water. It covers an area of 13 acres. The main shape is three cubes connected together. The facade is made of more than 1 million blue bricks with concave and convex collages. The blue-gray texture makes the whole building introverted and full of tension, which complements the Souvenir rivers, lakes, residential houses and other natural ecology. The art museum has clear functional divisions, including the entrance hall, theme exhibition area, video hall, office area, artist studio and apartment, member club, cafe, art shop, etc. The spaces are cleverly connected and relatively independent, suitable for large exhibitions and theme solo exhibitions. Environmental protection concepts and ecology are fully highlighted in the architectural concept. The large-scale application of ancient wood and old bricks makes the whole building simple and natural. Traditional elements and contemporary concepts are perfectly combined here.
