The town of Yangliuqing in Tianjin is an ancient one with a strong and profound folk culture. There are some ancient buildings worth visiting in Zhenshan, namely a theatre, a memorial archway and a Wenchang Pavilion. Shi Family Residence in the ancient town is a typical traditional residence in northern China, with many beautiful stone carvings in the courtyard. Every year during the Spring Festival, Yangliuqing Town will hold a large lantern temple fair. This town is also quite famous for their local New Year's pictures, which are pretty good souvenirs to take home.
