Baohexuan Teahouse, opened in the 11th year of Emperor Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1885), is the earliest teahouse in Tianjin (the name "Zayao" was changed to "Quyi" at the first National Congress of Literature and Art in July 1949), and is also known as one of the "Four Major Teahouses". The plaque was written by the founders Zhang Fuxing and Meng Guanghui.
After nearly a hundred years of changes and the baptism of the times, Baohexuan Teahouse will appear before the world in 2022 with a brand new look. The historical relics of the teahouse will be preserved and combined with the handover of the new era to be presented to the audience.
Baohexuan Teahouse gathers well-known crosstalk actors of three age groups, old, middle-aged and young. The actors perform in a form that combines traditional culture with new era content. They perform all kinds of things in the world, and laugh, scold, and scold just to make you laugh.
Baohexuan Teahouse is located in the cultural town 50 meters away from the theater on the ancient cultural street of Jinmen, opposite the Haihe River.
Welcome to Baohexuan Crosstalk Teahouse to experience authentic Tianjin crosstalk!
