Yuan Shikai's former residence was built in 1918 in Nordic architectural style. On the east bank of the Haihe River, there is a German-style building, which is the only German-style building from the 16th to 18th centuries that still exists in Tianjin.

It has now been converted into a restaurant, named Capital Restaurant. The prices are quite high. There are clumps of plane trees on the roadside. You will pass by here when going to the Tianjin Eye.
