📋Itinerary.
Day One:
Morning: proceed to Tiananmen Square to experience the solemnity of the world's largest square. Admire the Heroes Monument, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Great Hall of the People and other buildings.
Noon: Proceed to Qianmen area, stroll around the old Beijing shopping street and taste Peking duck at Qianmen Quanjude.
Afternoon: Enter the Forbidden City from the neighborhood of Tiananmen Square, follow the guide to listen to the explanation and visit the various attractions of the Forbidden City.
Evening: Exit the North Gate of the Forbidden City and head to Jingshan Park, climb to the top of the hill for a panoramic view of the Forbidden City and all of Beijing. If you still have the energy, you can go to the neighboring hutongs to stroll around and experience the city life of Beijing.
Day two:
Morning: proceed to the Temple of Heaven, enter through the South Gate and visit the Temple of Huanqiu, Echo Wall and Hall of Prayer for the Year of the Snake in the order of Huanqiu Altar, Echo Wall and Hall of Prayer.
Afternoon: visit the Yonghe Palace to experience the popularity and nobility of Beijing's largest Tibetan Buddhist temple. Afterwards, go across the street to the Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum and follow an in-house guide for more historical details.
Evening: Head to Guijie Street to taste food from all over the country, especially the spicy-flavored specialties.
Day Three:
Morning: proceed to the King Gong's Palace and follow a guided tour to learn about the architectural layout and interesting stories of Heshen's residence.
Noon: After dinner in the neighborhood, go to Shichahai for a tour to visit the former residence of Soong Ching Ling, Guo Moruo's former residence and other small attractions. You can go to Smoking Bag Diagonal Street to feel the characteristics of old Beijing.
Afternoon: Head northeast to the Bell and Drum Tower, followed by an optional stroll to Nanluoguxiang to learn about the history of the hutongs.
Evening: Go to Houhai to enjoy the night view and experience the bar culture.
Day Four:
Morning: Head to Yuanmingyuan, enter through the South Gate and visit important sites such as the Zodiac and the ruins of the Western Building, then head west along the coast of Fuxian to explore the natural landscape, and finally leave through the Algae Garden in the southwest corner.
Afternoon: Head to Tsinghua University, enter through the west gate and rent campus bicycles to explore all corners of the campus, such as the Lotus Pond and Moonlight, Shui Mu Qing Hua, the Great Hall and other attractions.
Evening: If you still have energy left, head to the Bird's Nest and Water Cube to enjoy the night view.
Day Five:
Morning: proceed to Summer Palace, follow the best tour route such as East Palace Gate, Hall of Renshou, Wenchang Yuan and Yulan Hall, and enjoy the architectural complex in front of Wanshoushan Mountain.
Afternoon: proceed to Peking University, enter through the Southeast Gate, visit the Library, Weiming Lake, Boya Tower and other attractions, and finally leave through the West Gate of Peking University.
Day Six:
Morning: Proceed to Badaling Great Wall, you can choose to take the cable car to save time and visit the south and north routes to enjoy different scenery.
Afternoon: If physical strength and time allow, visit the Thirteen Tombs, prioritize the Dingling Mausoleum, if there is still time you can visit the Changling Mausoleum.
