A Wonderful Trip to Guilin

After the epidemic, my partner M and I decided to start our journey to Guilin in March. The reason for choosing Guilin is that I read "The Landscape of Guilin" when I was a child, which filled me with infinite reverie about Guilin.

When we set out, we rented a car. Driving from Liangjiang Airport to Yangshuo, we saw the outline of the mountains on the highway, as if a picture scroll was unfolding before our eyes. When we arrived at the reserved homestay, because the previous guest had not checked out, we first went to taste the beer fish. The best ingredient for Yangshuo beer fish is the sword bone fish in the Lijiang River. We chose a chain store and ordered a 2 - 3 person set meal, which also included Ai Ye Ba. The beer fish has a crispy skin, rich juice, and is sweet and sour.

After the meal, we rented an electric scooter to ride around the Yulong River. We set two routes, taking the 321 National Highway when going and riding along the river when returning. The Fuli Bridge on the way left a deep impression on me. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and is the roundest single - arch stone bridge in Yangshuo. The ancient trees at both ends of the bridge are like lovers looking at each other across the river. Riding back from Fuli Bridge to Yangshuo, we passed through the old county section, where there were rape flower fields and mountains, and the scenery was picturesque.

Then we came to the Ten - mile Gallery. The rape flowers here are different from those elsewhere and have a blurred and hazy beauty. The bamboo rafts on the river are like leaves, dotting the river surface, making me feel as if I am in a fairyland. At night, we tasted Guilin rice noodles, and the taste was similar to what we usually ate. After riding during the day, we would go for a walk and drink coffee at night, enjoying the leisure time.

We also met many foreigners during our journey in Guilin, which shows that Guilin is very popular among foreign tourists. This journey to Guilin has made us feel the beauty of nature and also brought new vitality and hope to our lives.
