In August 2023, my friends and I started a special journey. During this summer vacation, there were people everywhere. Shanghai has always been a place I wanted to visit. It is neither too far nor too near from Fujian. We hit it off and set off, with an average cost of about 5000 yuan per person.
We first departed from Fuzhou Station at 18:18 and arrived at Shanghai Hongqiao Station at 22:45. Then we took an overtime subway to the Old Shanghai Huixiang Hotel. When checking in, we paid a deposit of 50 yuan (which was refunded after leaving). The hotel has four floors without an elevator. After putting away our luggage, it was already early morning. We took a taxi to Dingteler Noodle and Porridge Restaurant. It is on the first floor of a community and is open 24 hours. The portions are very small. Even when the amount was increased, it was just about my usual single portion. However, the taste was okay, but I wasn't full. I didn't dare to eat too much in the middle of the night either. Then we took a taxi back to the hotel.
The next morning, we went to Lily's Old Shanghai Soup Dumplings. The portions were large but couldn't be finished. Remember to order a small portion of crab roe noodles. After eating, we took bus No. 71 to Columbia Park. There were surprisingly few people there. We took various pictures inside, and also saw a bookstore, a fountain, and a pool. We also ate yogurt. After that, we took a bus to Wukang Road, located at Wukang Building. The street view was nice, and there were many small shops on the road that could be visited. Because of the rain, we entered an exhibition hall to take pictures. Then we went to The Cue Brunch & Bistro. The taste was okay and it was great for taking pictures. Then we took a bus to the Postal Museum, which was not open on Friday. However, pictures could be taken at the entrance, and next to it were Zhapu Road Bridge and Waibaidu Bridge. After that, we took a taxi to FLAIR Rooftop Restaurant and Bar.
Because the schedule was set late, we could only wait in line on the spot that day. Fortunately, we got a window seat. There was a minimum consumption and a set meal on the terrace. Even if not sitting on the terrace, pictures could be taken and it was very photogenic. Then we took the subway to The Bund. Originally, I thought the lights would be off at 10 o'clock, but unexpectedly, there were still lights at 11 o'clock. There were many people on The Bund, and it was very comfortable to enjoy the breeze. Finally, we walked back to the hotel. On the way, I washed my hair and met a fellow villager. It was perfect.
On the third morning, we ate at Shu Caiji's Pan-fried Dumplings and Vegetable Rice. We ordered pan-fried dumplings, large pork chop noodles, and small wontons. With the addition of chili sauce, it was very delicious and we ate it all up. Then we took the subway, transferred to another subway, and then transferred to a tram to go to Thames Town. We took pictures all the way. After that, we departed from Shanghai Hongqiao Station at 15:37 and arrived at Shangrao Station at 18:17. After getting off the train, we took a taxi to the entrance of Wangxian Valley Scenic Area. Luggage could be stored for free in the scenic area. There was a light show and a bonfire party at 19:30. The scenic area was very large, and we took pictures to our heart's content. After that, we went to Yuandi Homestay, and the owner could pick us up.
On the fourth morning, we ate meat powder soup, and the landlady even packed it for us for free. Then we took the arranged vehicle to go to Shangrao Station. We departed at 8:39 and arrived at Nanchang Station at 9:56. There was a convenience store at the exit of Nanchang Station where luggage could be stored. Then we took the subway to Bayi Square, which was similar to Fuzhou Wuyi Square. Opposite was the Jiangxi Art Museum, but we couldn't get tickets for it, so we only took pictures for five minutes. After that, we went to Yangzi Lane to punch in. The prices there were very cheap. We ate Xinquan Nanchang Earthenware Pot Soup and Shenzifang Stinky Tofu. Then we took a taxi to Insomnia Store to have afternoon tea and take a short break. Then we took a taxi to Tengwang Pavilion. The ticket was 50 yuan. It was said that if you could recite "Tengwang Ge Xu", you could get in for free. There were many people inside, and the air conditioning in some places was not sufficient. It was a pity that we didn't see the evening performance. Finally, we took a sightseeing vehicle and transferred to the subway. After having dinner, we departed from Nanchang Station at 19:20 and returned to Fuzhou Station at 22:25.
