On October 13, 2024, I embarked on a 4 - day and 3 - night trip to Beijing alone, with an average cost of 4800 yuan per person. I came for the golden ginkgo leaves, and of course, the special - price air ticket booked half a year ago was also one of the reasons.

The plane took off at 9 am and arrived at Daxing Airport at 12:15 pm. It was a cloudy day. I took a vehicle for 35 yuan from the airport to Caoqiao and then transferred to a subway for 5 yuan to Liangmaqiao. After putting down my luggage, I took a taxi to the Forbidden City (which needs to be reserved one week in advance). When I arrived at the Forbidden City, it was drizzling. Although I knew I was a bit short on time, I still rushed to see it, but just had a quick look. I had reserved the Treasure House for 10 yuan and the Clock House for 10 yuan, but I didn't have time to see them. The museum closes at 5 pm and the ticket checking for both houses stopped at 4:10 pm. There was nothing I could do. There are always some regrets during a trip. However, the tickets for the reserved but unseen exhibitions could be refunded before 8 pm on the same day, but I forgot about it. After coming out from the main entrance of the Forbidden City, there were many buses on the right side going to various popular places.

After that, I went to Nanluoguxiang, ate a candied hawthorn, which tasted very good, fresh and warm. I also strolled around Shichahai for a while. For dinner, I ate at Mu Men Jia Shuan Rou (a halal restaurant) and tasted the original flavor of the food. Then I went back to the hotel to rest.
On the morning of October 14, I was woken up by the alarm clock at a little after 4 am. After washing up, I set out at a little after 5 am to watch the flag - raising ceremony. I originally thought that it was not necessary to make a reservation, but it turned out that I was too naive. Watching the flag - raising ceremony also requires a reservation. I chose security check 07. Personally, I suggest that 03, 04, and 07 are all okay, so that at least you can see the front.

Because it was Monday, many places were closed and not open, so I decided to go to the Great Wall. After watching the flag - raising ceremony, I wandered aimlessly around the area first, rode a bicycle, strolled through the hutongs, and ate a breakfast for 10 yuan (vegetable buns + wontons). Later, I met a travel agency's loose group to the Great Wall in Dashilan. The original price was 120 yuan per person, and finally it was settled at 100 yuan. There was an advertisement on the back of the bus ticket I took before that it was 80 yuan for a round trip. I thought that 100 yuan for a round trip plus the ticket price was not a loss.

After getting on the bus, I encountered some pits. The first stop was (Long Teng Jiu Zhou). I didn't understand what it was about on the bus. When I asked the tour guide, she couldn't answer either. She just said it was high - tech. In fact, it might be something like a 3D film, and it cost 100 yuan per person. Those of us who didn't participate had to wait outside for at least one or two hours. The tour guide also asked us to take the cable car on the Great Wall. I understand if there are old people taking the cable car, but I can't accept this kind of semi - compulsory consumption. When I arrived at the Great Wall, I got the tickets and immediately separated from the tour group. If you can't be autonomous when traveling, what's the point?

The fare from Deshengmen to Badaling Great Wall and from the Great Wall to Deshengmen was 6 yuan. There was no need to worry about not having a vehicle. The dinner on that day was at Muyang Jun · Yangroulu, costing 212 yuan (Meituan). As a Cantonese, I liked the taste very much.
On October 15, I went from Liangmaqiao to Maquanying (Red Brick Art Museum), with a fare of 80 yuan. The ticket price was a bit expensive.
