💚Day1: Xiamen Botanical Garden + Zhonggu Ropeway
We chose a sunny day to visit the Xiamen Botanical Garden. There are more than 7,000 kinds of plants here, like a huge natural treasure trove. The cacti over two meters tall are astonishing. The succulent area and rainforest area are excellent places for taking pictures. Family photos can be amazing in no time. After visiting the botanical garden and exiting from the west gate, we arrived at the Zhonggu Ropeway. You can overlook the entire sea view of Xiamen. The scenery is extremely beautiful. This ropeway is very popular. Be sure to make an appointment 10 days in advance. We went there before the appointed time on the same day. 💚Day2: Xiamen Science and Technology Museum
The Xiamen Science and Technology Museum is known as the "Disney in science and technology museums." There are theme halls and a children's hall here. 💚Day3: Xiamen University + Baicheng Beach
Xiamen University is the most beautiful university by the sea. We entered from the Xiamen University Visitor Center at the west gate. When there are many people, we can also enter from the new south gate. The scenery on campus is extremely beautiful. The children felt a strong academic atmosphere here. 🎫Free admission. In the afternoon, we went to Baicheng Beach. It is next to Xiamen University and is the closest beach to the urban area. Taking photos, watching the sunset, and enjoying the night view are all very beautiful. 🎫Free admission.
💚Day4: Gulangyu
Gulangyu is Xiamen's signature and is known as the "island of pianos." Before going, we watched relevant explanations with our children to let them have a better understanding of this beautiful island. The organ art center on the island is very worth visiting. The largest century-old organ in Asia is collected here. Remember to make an appointment one day in advance on the "Gulangyu Cultural Tourism Center." 🎫Free admission. However, you need to take a ferry to get there. The round-trip ferry ticket is 35 yuan. There are scenic spots on the island. You can buy a combined ticket for 90 yuan.
💚Day5: Shili Changdi + Sea Train
The section from Gaoqi to Jimei Xuecun is the same sea train as in Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away." The scenery is even more beautiful on a sunny day. Be sure to remember to enjoy the beautiful scenery and take pictures quickly, otherwise the subway will leave (in about ten seconds). 🎫The ticket is just the fare for Metro Line 1.
We came to "Shili Changdi" and sat by the seawall watching the sunset, enjoying the sea breeze, and listening to live music. The atmosphere on site is extremely romantic.
