Nanjing, an ancient and charming city, carries a thick history and culture. I started my two-day Nanjing trip with anticipation. ✨
Day 1
Early in the morning, with the sunshine on my face, I arrived at the Zhongshan Mausoleum Scenic Area. After arriving by subway, looking from afar, Zhongshan Mausoleum is magnificent, situated at the southern foot of Zijinshan Mountain. Gathering up the long stone steps, my heart was filled with admiration for Mr. Sun Yat-sen. Surrounded by green trees and fresh air, it is like being in a beautiful painting. 🌳🖼️
At the Zhongshan Mausoleum Scenic Area, I visited Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to learn about Mr. Sun's life story and great contributions. The exhibitions here are rich and detailed, giving a deeper understanding of that magnificent history. 📜💪
At noon, I tasted Nanjing's specialties - duck blood vermicelli soup and salt water duck at a restaurant near the scenic spot. The duck blood vermicelli soup was tasty and the salt water duck was tender. 🍜🦆😋
In the afternoon, I went to Xuanwu Lake. As soon as I entered the park, I was attracted by the vast lake and the beautiful scenery. The water of the lake was sparkling, the willows by the lake swayed in the wind, and the mountains loomed in the distance. I chose to take a boat tour of Xuanwu Lake, with the breeze on my face, enjoying the lake and mountains, and feeling the serenity and beauty of nature. 🌊🌳🛶🌸
In the evening, I went to the Fuzimiao Temple. It was brilliantly lit and bustling. Fuzimiao is one of the iconic attractions of Nanjing, and the ancient buildings and bustling crowds make you feel as if you have traveled back to ancient times. I tasted all kinds of snacks in Fuzimiao, such as Qinhuai Bajie, each of which has a unique flavor. 🏮🍡😃
Next, I went to the bank of Qinhuai River. The Qinhuai River at night is particularly charming, with colorful lights reflected on the surface of the river, and cruise boats weaving in and out of it, as if it were a flowing picture scroll. I took a cruise, enjoying the ancient buildings and beautiful scenery on both sides of the river, feeling the mood of “Smoke cages the cold water and the moon cages the sand, night berth Qinhuai near the restaurant”. 🌙🛶🏞️🎇
Day 2
In the morning, I went to Xuanwu Lake again and chose to explore it on foot. Strolling along the lake, I enjoyed the scenery from different angles. There were many people practicing in the morning by the lake, and their energy and enthusiasm infected me as well. 🌅🚶♂️💃
At noon, I enjoyed lunch at a restaurant near Xuanwu Lake. 🍱
In the afternoon, I went to Fuzimiao to continue exploring the culture and history of the place. I visited the ancient buildings and museums in Fuzimiao to learn about Nanjing's traditional culture and historical changes. 🏛️📕
At the Fuzimiao, I also bought some special souvenirs as a memento of this trip. 🎁
The two-day trip to Nanjing came to an end very quickly, and I left the city with a full harvest and good memories. 🚄💖
