Stayed at a Doraemon-themed bed and breakfast near Jiefangbei. Convenient location but relatively expensive. There are better options for around a hundred dollars.

 

II. Play Trip
Jiefangbei Business District
Bayi Yummy Street has many delicious snacks like saltwater duck, lollipop chicken, hot and sour noodles, and more.

Magnetic Weapon Pass Ancient Town
Features handmade mochi, slab roasted mochi, famous noodles, and delicious sesame flowers.

Li Ziba Light Rail Station, Crown Escalator, Pei sister old hot pot
The light rail station is an attraction. Crown Escalator is a unique transportation. Pei's hot pot is popular.

Hongyadong Folklore District
Beautiful night view. Can take a two rivers tour.

Nanshan One Tree Viewing Platform
Best visited between evening and darkness. Multiple ways to reach.

Chaotianmen Square
Where the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers meet. Construction makes access a bit difficult.

Yangtze River Ropeway
A great way to see the city. Recommended in the evening.

Chongqing WFC Huixianlou Observation Deck
Optional attraction. Not a must-visit.

Chongqing Hukuang Hall
For history and architecture lovers. Otherwise might be boring.

Wulong Tiansheng Three Bridges
Typical karst landscape. Far from the city.

Compaokou Night Market Snack Street
Lots of delicious snacks like fried crispy meat, pot helmets, baked brain flower, and more.

 

III. Summary
Chongqing has many attractions. Some are demolished so beware. This trip cost about two thousand per capita. Chongqing hot pot and skewers are delicious.
