At 18:27 on October 11, 2024, I started my trip to Yanji alone, with an average cost of 1500 yuan per person.
On the first day, after arriving at Yanji West Station, I chose the Yanbian Museum which was relatively close. Whenever I arrive in a city, a museum is a good place to understand its history. The Yanbian Museum introduced the history of Yanbian in great detail and with characteristics. I prefer the introduction of story scenes with real characters.
After coming out of the museum, I went to the Folk Village. Because it was just after the National Day holiday, there were not many people and the overall feeling was good. I randomly found a photo studio near there to take ethnic portraits. It was in an assembly-line form and the price was relatively transparent. Although it was highly commercialized, it still felt good to take pictures. However, there was not much sense of depth or immersion when walking around. If you want to experience the real Korean characteristics, this place may not be suitable.
After taking pictures, I took a taxi back to the homestay. The homestay I chose this time was very successful. Its location was not far from various scenic spots. It took only about ten minutes to walk to each place. The homestay was called Boshi Yuan. After putting down my things and taking a short break, I went out to look for food and to see the Internet-famous wall by the way. In the evening, I ate the Shenghua cold noodles. According to my own taste, it was not particularly amazing, but it was still a 打卡. After having a meal, I strolled to the Internet-famous wall. There were a lot of people here. It was face to face with Yanji University. I could visit two scenic spots at once.
This was my fulfilling first day in Yanji.
