Two days in Changsha
I have always heard that Changsha is a city with profound historical culture and many delicious foods. This time, I finally have the opportunity to experience it in person. Although only a short two days time, but Changsha gave me a very deep impression.
On the first day, I arrived in Changsha early and went to Yuelu Mountain first. The air on the mountain is fresh, the trees are green, and every step is like stepping on the mark of history. Yuelu Academy is simple and solemn, every stone tablet, every wall seems to tell the story of the past. I quietly felt the charm of ancient institutions of learning there, as if I could hear the ancient sound of reading in my ears.
Standing by the river, feeling the river breeze, overlooking the rolling Xiangjiang River, the heart of an unutterable pride.
In the evening, I went to the night market in Changsha. The food here is full of beautiful things, stinky tofu, sugar and oil poop, rice noodles... Each of them makes me linger. Especially the hot taste, let me deeply experience the enthusiasm and vitality of Changsha.
The next day, I visited Hunan Provincial Museum. The rich collections here, especially the unearthed cultural relics from Mawangdui Han Tomb, have given me a deeper understanding of ancient culture and lifestyle. Each exhibit is full of historical thick sense, let a person can not help but fall into the reveries of the past.
After lunch, I came to Huangxing Pedestrian Street. This is the commercial center of Changsha, and also a good place for citizens to relax and shop. I strolled through the streets, feeling the prosperity and vitality of the city. The shops on the street have their own characteristics, and I bought some special commodities at random to keep them as a souvenir.
The two-day visit to Changsha was short, but I was impressed by the city's cultural heritage and cuisine. Changsha is not only a famous historical and cultural city, but also a vibrant modern city. I am sure that in the coming days, I will set foot on this land again and continue to explore its charm.
