Description
Wutayan was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the Southern Song Dynasty, it was called Wutayan because of the five stone pagodas built in front of the temple. The five stone pagodas in front of Wutayan Temple are Songdupo-style stone pagodas. The tower is 6 meters high, the base is square, the tower body is made of three layers, the first layer is hexagonal, engraved with characters, the second and third layers are drum-shaped, the third layer is embossed with Buddha statues, and the pagoda is in the shape of a gourd. The five pagodas are in groups, lined up in a row, and the pagodas are 2 meters apart. They are listed between the walls in front of the temple. The buildings of the Wutayan Temple are built on the mountain, and the Longshui Zen Building and the Dingguang Taoist Temple are built, like a castle in the sky, with a unique scenery.
