Description
Wenchang Pavilion was built in the thirteenth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1585 AD) and belonged to the Yangzhou Fuxue Building Group. Yangzhou Fuxue no longer exists, and now only Wenchang Pavilion remains. Wenchang Pavilion is 24.25 meters high. It is an octagonal three-story brick and wood structure building. It is a landmark because it is located in the center of Yangzhou, and it is convenient to eat, drink and play around. It will be lit at night. This building in the center of the big turntable at the crossroad is surrounded by greenery and cannot be visited inside. It is not meaningful to visit it during the day. Because Wenchang Pavilion is not in harmony with the surrounding modern buildings, and most of the people who travel to and from the city center have to see it, it mainly plays a role in reminding tourists that "the city center has arrived". At night, Wenchang Pavilion turns on the lights, and you can take pictures, but because it is roughly cylindrical, it can be taken from any angle. You can continue to the next point by taking a pass or two. Wenchang Pavilion signifies that there are many shops and restaurants around it, and the significance is almost better than itself. Walking 200 meters south from Wenchang Pavilion, there are large shopping malls such as Times Square and Golden Eagle International Shopping Center (Wennan Road Branch). It is not difficult to find trendy shops that Xiaoqingxin likes on Lu, Wennan Road and Wenchang Middle Road. The food street closer to Wenchang Pavilion is Siwangting Road Food Street 350 meters to the north, and Huaihai Road Food Street 250 meters to the west. Walk 1 km east from Wenchang Pavilion to go shopping in Shuangdong Historic District (including Dongguan Street Historic District and Dongquanmen Historic District) where Yangzhou specialties gather; go 800 meters north to eat at Yechun Tea House in Yechun Garden Morning tea, crab yellow soup buns, three diced buns, and boiled dried silk are all good. 400 meters west from Yechun Garden is the Slender West Lake. In short, it is very convenient to go anywhere from Wenchang Pavilion.
