Phoenix Mountain Sports Park is located in Jinniu District, Chengdu. It was completed in March 2021. It is a key project in Chengdu’s "14th Five-Year Plan" for building a world-famous city for events. It is also one of the core venues for the 31st World University Summer Games and the home stadium of the Chengdu Rongcheng team in the Chinese Super League.
The project covers a total area of about 600 mu, and is built with high-level craftsmanship and facilities. It mainly consists of "one stadium, two halls and one center", namely a FIFA standard professional football stadium, a FIBA/NBA/NHL standard comprehensive gymnasium, a multi-functional hall and a national fitness center. The project is equipped with professional function rooms such as player lounges, dressing rooms, press conference halls, and special guest areas such as VIP boxes. It also has supporting facilities such as plazas, commercial, hotels, and residential buildings, providing one-stop services for Residents.
The comprehensive sports hall is the venue for the final of the basketball event of the 31st World University Summer Games. It is built according to FIBA, NBA, and NHL standards, with a construction area of about 143,000 square meters, a total of 1.8 seats, and double-decker VIP boxes. The hall is equipped with a smart information release system, systematic acoustic measures throughout the hall, a high-level sound system with excellent sound quality, sound-absorbing soft-packed seats, a professional four-sided screen installed on the top, and an ice-making/heat recovery system installed on the ground, which can realize the rapid conversion of professional ice hockey/basketball venues.
The professional football stadium is the original venue for the 18th Asian Cup Football Tournament and the home stadium of Chengdu Rongcheng Football Club in the Chinese Super League. It is built according to the F-I-F-A standard, with a construction area of about 186,000 square meters, a total of about 60,000 seats, and a single-layer VIP box. The roof of the professional football stadium adopts an ETFE membrane structure with a light transmittance of 40%, and there is no runway in the venue. The stadium is equipped with a smart information release system, three professional display screens, and high-level speakers.
