Maofeng Mountain is located in the northeast of Guangzhou City, at the junction of Taihe Town and Liangtian Town in Baiyun District. It is 152.9 meters higher than Baiyun Mountain and is regarded as the highest peak in Guangzhou. The whole mountain has high forest coverage, beautiful scenery and quiet environment. Maofeng Mountain is divided into two scenic spots: Peak Scenic Spot and Causeway Bay Scenic Spot. The two scenic spots are not connected to each other, so tourists who want to climb the main peak should not enter the Causeway Bay scenic spot, but take a motorcycle from the Causeway Bay Reservoir to the mountain top scenic spot three kilometers away. . If you have good physical strength, you can visit the Causeway Bay Scenic Spot first and then go to the Peak Scenic Spot. Otherwise, you will play the Peak Scenic Spot alone. There are few people who play the Causeway Bay Scenic Spot alone. The general route of the scenic spot on the top of the mountain is: Mountain Gate - Ancient Temple on the Half Mountain - Jiulong Lake - Wangyun Pavilion - Baizhang Cliff - the unilateral pine top of the main peak (534 meters), the whole round-trip time is about 3 hours. Among them, the ancient temple in the middle of the mountain and the ancient road with a thousand years are worth visiting. Next to the ancient temple is a small square that sells special products. There are many kinds of eggs, freshly picked plums, etc. It is very lively. The ancient road refers to the mountain road itself. The road from the northern foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain is entirely paved with granite, with a total of 637 levels. The steepness and twists of the ancient road can be described as rare. The entire ancient road takes about 2 hours to walk back and forth. Unfortunately, there is no sightseeing spot on the top of the mountain. When you reach the top, it is still in the woods. There is only a small pavilion, and the view is not very good. In addition, you must try tofu flowers and snails when going up the mountain, which is a major feature here and is highly recommended. Although Maofeng Mountain is not as famous as Baiyun Mountain and its facilities are not as complete as it is, it is far away from the urban area, the air and natural environment are better than Baiyun Mountain, and there are fewer tourists. Some climbing sections are still wild roads, so you can enjoy the fun of mountaineering.
