Bai Causeway was originally called “Baisha Causeway," and it divided West Lake into an inner lake and an outer lake; it also connected Gu Shan and Bei Shan. It was connected to Broken Bridge at one end and Pinghu Qiuyue and Gu Shan at the other. In the middle was a flat asphalt road, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Bai Causeway is mainly enjoyed by walking. You can also rent a bicycle to ride, but motor vehicles are forbidden.
