The scene of autumn moon on the calm Lake is located in the west end of Bai Di, which is a long and narrow garden along the lake. Here, there are three sides facing the water, and the imperial pavilion, the water platform and other landscape are along the lake. The viewing platform that extends out of the water has a wide view and is a moon-watching resort on the shore of the West Lake. It is also suitable for enjoying the scenery during the day. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Pinghu Qiuyue had no fixed site, and the current Pinghu Qiuyue site was confirmed during the Kangxi period.
