The Shell Museum is a private museum and has a large beach runway. The museum is mainly composed of six parts: the shell specimen display area, the popular science area, and the shellfish merchandise display area and so on. The exhibits are from the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic Ocean, and more than 60 countries on five continents. The collections and hardware facilities are at the leading domestic level. There is a large one-meter-wide oyster known as the King of Seashells, a small scallop that needs to be seen with a magnifying glass, and a nautilus fossil from the Ordovician Period 450 million years ago.
