Description
The 1911 Revolution Museum was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911 by Wuhan City. This museum is located on the southside of Shouyi Square and houses an exhibition which is divided into five parts. Each showcases historical relics, photographs depicting historical events, various artwork, and multimedia productions involving the Revolution of 1911. The five divisions showcase different historical periods: the late Qing Dynasty China, the Revolution, the Wuchang Uprising, the Republican, and the Xinhai 100 years. This exhibition is intended to educate and increase the understanding of local history, especially involving the time period of the 1911 Revolution, but also other periods as well.
