No.1 Station Road, Jiang'an District, Wuhan

Description
The former site of the American Consulate in Hankou is located at No. 1 Zhan Road, Jiang'an District, Wuhan City. It is like a beautiful medieval castle standing on the edge of the Yangtze River. In April 1861, the second month that Hankou was used as a foreign trade port, the United States set up a consulate in Wuhan. After the Red Fort was built in 1905, the consulate moved here. Now it is the location of Wuhan Talent Market. This old house has a history of more than 100 years. It is a red Baroque building with a three-storey main body and a concrete brick structure. The main façade of Linjiang is composed of three buildings with different storey heights stacked upward in a step-like manner; the three-storey outer walls are all clear-water red bricks, continuous semi-circular arch windows and doors, and each storey has a prominent waistline. The facade of the former US consulate is curved, with beautiful lines and a very fluid feel. Standing on the street and looking at it, this "old castle" is all red, standing on the corner of the street, it looks even more charming against the green trees on the roadside.
