Description
Chengdu University of Technology Museum is the largest geological museum in western China. There are tens of thousands of various specimen collections in the museum, among which the most famous one is the largest dinosaur fossil in Asia - Mamenxisaurus of Hechuan. The total length of the fossil is 22 meters, and the neck alone is nearly 10 meters. The giraffe cannot compare with it at all. In addition to dinosaurs, the special collections in the museum include: giant pandas, saber-toothed elephants, rhinos, magic dragons, fish and other paleontological fossil specimens. Various minerals, rocks, precious jades and rare stones are also displayed in the museum, including the Longchang Iron Meteorite weighing 158.5 kilograms that fell during the Ming Dynasty, the earliest recorded "guest from the universe".
