Description
The Hongkou Nature Reserve is densely forested, with high mountains, clear streams and waterfalls, and many rare animals and plants, including giant pandas. The rafting here is very famous. Every summer, it is a place for citizens to escape the summer heat. The locals also like to play mahjong in the green mountains and green waters here, which is very comfortable. Hongkou rafting is a major feature of Hongkou Scenic Area. The rafting section of the Baisha River is 15.2 kilometers long. After buying a ticket in Hongkou Town, you can put on a life jacket, a special T-shirt, shorts and straw sandals, and take a car to the upper reaches of the river to board the boat. The kayak can seat 4 people, and there is a rowing boat in front of each other. After the Wenchuan earthquake, the drifting river section was damaged to a certain extent and reopened in 2010. Today's Hongkou Nature Reserve is not open to the public every winter. Whether it is open in summer or not is subject to the announcement of the Reserve Management Bureau at that time.
