Guanyinshan Beach is a 2.1-kilometer-long, 400,000-square-meter man-made beach in Xiamen City. The sand comes from the Jiulong River in Zhangzhou. Every summer, a large number of citizens and tourists go to the beach to play in the water, ride waves, swim or play volleyball, which is very lively. Every year, the beach park also hosts occasional sand sculpture exhibitions and the Guanyin Mountain White Dolphin Music Festival.
