Description
Chiwan Tianhou Temple, also known as Tianhou Museum, is located at the foot of Xiaonan Mountain next to Chiwan Village, Nanshan District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. One of the more important temples of Tianhou, all the court envoys to Southeast Asian countries, when passing through here, must stop the boat to put in incense, and pray to the gods with great ceremony. In the early years of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, Zheng He, the eunuch of the Three Treasures, was ordered by Zhu Di, the ancestor of the Ming Dynasty, to lead the sailors to go to the Western Ocean and create the "Silk Road" on the sea.
