Nanjing Ming Palace Ruins Park
Description
The Nanjing Ming Palace Ruins Park is composed of two areas: the Imperial City and the Imperial Palace. The magnificent Ming Palace resembles the Forbidden City in Beijing. The Ming Palace served as the imperial palace for 3 emperors in the early Ming Dynasty: Hongwu, Jianwen, and Yongle. When Emperor Yongle moved the capital to Beijing, Ming palace gradually became irrelevant. We can only imagine the grand palace it once was through the ruins buried underground. It is a solemn place to pay homage to the history.
