Description
Bailuzhou Park, situated in the southeast of Nanjing City, is a very large park in the south of Nanjing. The park was once the Ming Dynasty villa of the King of Zhongshan (one of the founding fathers). It takes its name from the Xuda family which existed during the reign of Yongle and is also known as Xu Taifu Park or Xu Zhongshan Park. Once upon a time during the reign of Tianshun, the Jiufeng Temple was built, becoming the site sought after by believers from across the country. Up until the reign of Zhengde, Xu Tianci, a descendant of Xu Da, expanded the park and named it East Park.
