Shenzhenwan Hwy Bridge
Description
The Shenzhen Bay Highway Bridge starts from the reclamation area of the Dongjiaotou first-line port on the Shenzhen side, connecting Dongjiaotou, Shekou, Shenzhen and Aokanshi, Yuen Long, Hong Kong. It is designed according to expressway standards, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour and a bridge deck width of 33.1 meters. It is a two-way street. Six lanes plus emergency parking strips on both sides. Shenzhen Bay Bridge is a highway bridge connecting Dongjiaotou, Shekou, Shenzhen and Aokanshi, Yuen Long, Hong Kong. It is also known as the "Western Shenzhen-Hong Kong Corridor". The bridge has two navigation ports in the south and north, and adopts the single-pylon steel girder cable-stayed bridge plan with the main span of 210 meters and 180 meters. The non-navigation hole adopts a 75-meter-span equal-section box girder. In order to improve the driving conditions and increase the landscape effect of the bridge, the axis plane of the bridge adopts an S shape. Standing on the side of Shenzhen and looking across the sea, a silver channel meanders over the sea, and the cable-stayed bridge that stands in the sun shines brightly, symbolizing the close handshake between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. If you take a bird's eye view from a high place, you will see a slightly S-shaped bridge winding across the sea, like a giant dragon crossing the sky and sea. The route of the passage has a slight curvature. The design not only allows the driver to appreciate the beauty of the cable-stayed bridge along the way, but also helps the bridge itself and the driver's driving safety.
