No. 144, North Courtyard, Xi'an
Description
This hundred-year courtyard in the center of Xi’an is a brick-and-wood structure courtyard that began construction at the end of the Ming dynasty. It was not until the Emperor Qianlong's reign during the Qing Dynasty that the main project was completed. The entire construction process took more than one hundred years. Nowadays, this ancient courtyard has been opened to tourists. The wood carvings and brick sculptures in the courtyard are exquisite and delicately carved. If you like ancient residences, this will surely satisfy your needs. Inside the courtyard, you can also choose to watch a unique Shaanxi shadow puppet show and listen to authentic local dialects for a while.
