Description
Gaoguan Waterfall gets its name from the two tall mountain peaks that flank its sides and look like two giants wearing hats. The falls are the main attraction within the Gaoguan Valley Scenic Area. The torrential waters of Gaoguan River gather here and soar off the cliff precipice. The famous Tang dynasty poet, Cen Shen, built his villa here and diligently worked creating an everlasting bond with the falls. The surrounding area also includes Boji Pond, Meihua Pond, Gezi Pond and more. The two-tiered giant rock on the west bank has a statue of Cen Shen. There is also Mingdao Pavilion built to commemorate the philosopher Cheng Mingdao.
