The Lintong Meteorite Museum was established in Lintong in October 2023. At the same time, a meteorite science popularization and meteorite identification center were also established. Location: No. 170, Qinling North Road, Lintong District, covering an area of more than 7,000 square meters, an exhibition hall of more than 1,800 square meters, and a total investment of 230 million yuan. Thousands of rare internationally named meteorites of all sizes, nearly 100 varieties, stone meteorites, stone-iron meteorites, iron meteorites, etc. are exhibited. One of the meteorites (dunlike Dunlike 007 "Haitou") came from the distant hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert in Xinjiang. It fell to the earth tens of thousands of years ago and was later discovered by meteorite hunter Mr. Xing Jiandong. It was internationally certified and named internationally: dunlike, and has since had an identity. As people continue to deepen their understanding of the universe and meteorites, the boundary between "sky" and "man" has gradually become clear. We need such a universe. Everything is the basis for our survival. If there are no stars, there will be no material raw materials that make up our bodies. Meteorites have high scientific research value. The establishment of the Lintong Meteorite Museum will build an important platform for related research and learning, allowing visitors to truly learn more about meteorites. We will increase efforts to promote meteorite knowledge, cultivate the public's scientific understanding of meteorites, and bring meteorite culture into thousands of households and even the world.
