The theme of the Lantern Festival is "Happy Events in Beijing, Colorful Lanterns in Beijing". The exhibition area is between Gate 2 and Gate 5 of the Garden Expo Park, covering an area of about 638 acres. The Lantern Festival has nine theme areas, including Festival Songs, Colorful Avenue of Beijing, Splendid Rivers and Mountains, Trendy Beijing, Colorful Children's Dreams, Watching Beijing Opera, Glorious China, Phoenix Dances in the Sky, and Colorful Beijing Lifestyle.
