There are 5 docks with special functions along the coast as docking places for water tours. There are 6 Attraction on both sides of the river, including 18 scenic spots, which reflect the ecological, low-carbon and humanistic concepts of Tongzhou New City. According to historical records, Tongzhou has always been an important transportation route in Jingdong. It is an important place for water transport and warehousing. The canal water transport is the pulse of the country. All dynasties regarded Tongzhou as their elbows and armpits, so Tongzhou has the reputation of "the upper reaches of the nine elbows and armpits, and the heroic town of the throat of the six countries". Some memoirs say that at that time, fleets and tourists coming and going from the south and the north were intertwined and flowing here. There are docks, granaries, merchants, wine shops, and inns. The cultural atmosphere is also quite strong. Scholars come and go in Luhe Academy, and some temples are full of incense. Tongzhou, driven by the canal, was once extremely prosperous. The canal has been declared a world heritage site. "The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is the longest artificial river in the world and the longest river in China running from north to south. It is one of the two great engineering miracles of ancient China, just like the Great Wall." The opening of the Grand Canal was dug three times in history. The earliest one was the Han Canal dug by King Fuchai of Wu in 486 BC. The second time was Emperor Yang of Sui from 605 to 609 AD, who reopened the Han Canal and extended it to the north. The third time was in the 20th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1283), when construction was vigorously carried out to form the current scale. Guo Shoujing presided over the opening of the Tonghui River, so ships coming from the south could go up the Tonghui River and reach the capital city directly.
