The Beijing Grand View Garden is located at the southwestern corner of Second Ring Road. The 1987 TV version of "Dream of the Red Chamber" was filmed here. It is an accurate representation of the official style of courtyard house and garden as referenced by literary master Cao Xueqin in his famous novel "Dream of the Red Chamber". The park has a number of attractions, including the Chamber of Delights, the Xiaoxiang Pavilion, and the Grand View Building. The garden setting is quite elegant, featuring large, southern Chinese-style courtyards, pavilions and decorative arched bridges over water features. It is a lovely place to go for a relaxing stroll. Visitors to the garden have the opportunity to learn various aspects about the novel "Dream of the Red Chamber" as well as the time period in which the novel is set.
