The Tower of Buddhist Incense is the main building of the Summer Palace. It is 41 meters high, with eight sides, three floors and four eaves. It is built on a 20-meter-high square platform in front of Longevity Hill. It faces Kunming Lake to the south and is backed by the Sea of Wisdom. The various buildings around it are neatly and symmetrically spread out to both wings, forming a magnificent situation of many stars holding the moon. It brings together the beautiful scenery within a dozen miles of the surrounding Souvenir, including the Old Summer Palace and Changchun Garden in the east, Jingming Garden and Jingyi Garden in the west, as well as Longevity Hill, and cleverly integrates the "Three Mountains and Five Gardens" at that time into one, making it a large royal garden scenic area. Climbing up the Tower of Buddhist Incense, you can have a panoramic view of the scenery within dozens of miles around.
