The Back Garden Natural Scenic Area is situated in the northwest of Zhongguan Village. It is present at the intersection of Taihang Mountain and Yanshan Mountain. It is also considered to be the current Beijing tourism economic development zone integrating tourism and entertainment. The natural scenic area consists of the magical flame mountains, and the eighty-one holes and so on. The back garden is the place for the emperors to cruise around. The back garden of the former emperors and the ruins of the Baoyun Temple which was closed for the past 1400 years have finally opened to the public.
