Fenghuangling Natural Scenic Area in Haidian District of Beijing is a good destination for locals to spend their weekends. It has beautiful scenery all year round. In spring, it is nice to go hiking there, while in winter, the snow-covered landscape is really worth viewing. There are also historical relics like temples and pagodas. In the scenic area, tourists can enjoy rock climbing and pray at the famous Longquan Temple. It is much cooler than Beijing city centre in summer.
