On 5th floor sits an old-world-style universe unto itself—Shanghai’s new lounge, Club Room. A sense of warmth and exclusivity, discretion and indulgence pervade the interior of Club Room, in the style of an early 20th century private social club. Club Room features two lounge areas, a 9-seater bar, a gallery seating area, a screening room, and a meeting room. Along the edge of the building the gallery space provides casual low-lying seating area basked in natural daylight. In contrast, the darker interiors of the lounge spaces provide a more intimate atmosphere for a game of billiards or a glass of scotch. The lounges are lined throughout with crisply detailed oak tripartite panels reminiscent of the classic Oak Rooms of the period.
